i can't believe how garing this blog is.

2010 is a fucking pain in the ass really great year for me. I went to Bali for the first time, had my first FULL YEAR with a girlfriend, a new bass, a new perspective of life @ higher learning, and all of that. I don’t even want to touch the negatives because i don’t wanna ruin anything.

But of course, this is still Indonesia, a country full of ironic things, and if you took all of them seriously you’ll be closer and closer to jumping that proverbial cliff (re:crazy). And so, to end this year with a bang, and some assurance that there’ll be no more crazy things that this country’ll do before New Year, I’d like to give you tumblr people my Year in Review: Irony Edition. So here goes.

1. Isn’t it ironic that the first two Twitter worldwide most-trending topic regarding Indonesia is Ariel Peterporn and Sinta dan Jojo? And it’s also worth mentioning that the last TT is Nurdin Mundur, which is of course not his real name which is Nurdin Halid.

2. Isn’t it ironic that only about 20% of teenagers know the names of the supposedly “hit singles” of Igo Idol and Citra Idol? (Of course, i don’t remember them too) And it’s also worth mentioning that only about 5% of them remember that Gilang Saputra is the 3rd-place finisher in Idol 2010 without searching wikipedia.

3. Isn’t it ironic that all the football craze in Indonesia only resulted in a second place finish in the AFF Suzuki Cup, something that we’ve achieved three times before, when no female gave a shit about football?

4. Isn’t it ironic that people still confuse Indomie with Supermie?

5. Isn’t it ironic that the most significant person in the Indonesian administration is Gayus Tambunan?

6. Isn’t it ironic that Pizza Hut can’t even serve a normal pizza again?

8. Isn’t it ironic that i’m making an “Isn’t It Ironic?” post on Tumblr even though it’s only my seventh tumblr text post in 2010?

9. Isn’t it ironic that you’re probably scrolled through my tumblr page to find the other six text posts?

10. Isn’t it ironic that you’re smiling at the monitor right now?

11. Isn’t it ironic that i’m playing the psychologic joke card on you right now again, like I did on this post?

12. Isn’t it ironic that you fell for the joke again?

7. Isn’t it ironic that the number 7 in this list is here, rather than below the number 6?

13. Isn’t it ironic that you fell for the psychologic joke AGAIN?

14. Isn’t it ironic that this tumblr is called icantbelievehowgaringthisblogis.tumblr.com even though, with time, you’ll understand my blog more so then by the time we’re old and wrinkly, you can actually BELIEVE how garing this blog is?
